01 June 2014 – Tonight I photographed Bury Tomorrow playing a killer show down in Kingston at the Arthur Cotterell Theatre (ACT).
The guys are the first band that Banquet Records had organised to play this venue and it worked out perfect with them pretty much selling out both nights.
I have to be honest and and say that this was one of the best live shows I’ve been to in a while. The guys are tight, their sounds was absolutely brutal and the thing I loved most though is that they were super down to earth, having fun and making sure that the crowd was fully engaged. They enforced that no egos belong at a metal show and that everyone should just enjoy themselves without worrying what anyone else things. I love that and decided to get involved and “dance” around in the crowd a bit. My poor camera gear.
The show ended with the stage being rushed by the whole crowd, pretty much … it’s been a long time since I’ve seen this happen.
They’ve just released their album “Runes” which debuted this week by hitting Top 40 in the Official UK Charts and #1 on the iTunes Rock Charts. I bought it as soon as I got home and you should do the same thing.
