I’ve been working on a really great project, for Vagabond Flag, over the last few months which will be releasing shortly. It’s something I’m really proud of as I have had quite a lot of creative input regarding the visual representation of the project. I created, with Ryan Prout, a series of EPK’s for the project and this one is my favourite. Definitely watch it if you have a second.

Last year I photographed some new images with the guys from Bullet For My Valentine to be used for their 2014 Calendar. It was really nice working with the guys again and a privilege to see them playing live again … they sounded massive as always. We photographed during a day together at The Roundhouse before they played that evening. I love a lot of the images we took but cannot show them off yet but thought I’d share these few tearsheets from the actual calendar which is obviously out at the moment.
My friend, Tyron Layley, recorded a cover of Sex by The 1975 and I really like it a lot so I decided to film a video for it. The track is beautiful and I wanted to keep it simple so I filmed it all as a one-take session in my studio with a single back light. To create some atmosphere I decided to shoot the track at double speed on the Sony FS700 so that I could slow it down in post and give it that “airy” feel.
I’m really happy with how it came out and think it’s a great tribute to an amazing band by one of my favourite artists. Give it a listen and a share if you have the chance.
Original track written by George Daniel, Matthew Healy, Adam Hann and Ross MacDonald of The 1975.
A few months back I worked with Ziey on some new promo photographs for him to use for his current press campaign. His real name is Sam Gibbons and he’s a 20 year-old rapper, singer and songwriter from Greenwich.
It was great getting to know him during our time together and we shot some really cool images together.
His website has now been updated and a few of the images have been used as banners around the site so I thought I would post up my favourites on here.
Tonight the guys from Pure Love began their final tour to say goodbye as they call it a day. I photographed the set down in Kingston and it’s really sad that this is a farewell because I feel like there are still too many people who never got to experience a great show like this. Jim Carroll is one of my favourite performers and I shot this of him doing his thing. Goodbye Pure Love … you’ll be missed.
I grew up, back in the day, with my parents listening to Rodriguez which resulted in me being a fan of his work … I’ve worked with him a few times over the years, since 2001, and it’s amazing to see him do what he does. A great documentary came out in 2012 called “Searching For Sugar Man” which explains the journey he’s been on and it’s definitely worth watching.
These are just a few shots I took the other night in Hammersmith and you can see more HERE.
My friends in Young Guns have just signed to Virgin EMI which is super well deserved. The guys got me down to photograph the signing for them and one of the photos was used in the announcement about it in this weeks Music Week. It’s obviously not my most “technical” photograph but it was really great to be apart of this with them as I’ve worked with them a bunch since the start.
Well done boys!
