07 March 2009 – Last night I shot Rise Against at the Roundhouse. It was an incredible show and I honestly feel that they are getting better and better as time goes on. I won’t argue that there is a lot of bands out there that are musically more talented than they are but I would have to fight the fact that I believe there is no one else more convincing to me that this is their passion and it shows in their live performance more than I have ever witnessed before. Their front man, Tim McIlrath, is my favourite person to watch and enjoy because he really feels and believes every word that they sing about.

Their show has also improved a lot since I saw them last year and it is evident that they are working hard to keep improving their live show so the crowd gets their money’s worth. I know that everyone I chatted to felt they scored a deal so I am not the only one that thinks they are doing things right.

All I can say is that you have to make a plan to watch them if you haven’t. If you aren’t a fan, you will be and I know you will be the next person on the way to the store buying their music. Support them, they deserve it. Definitely one of my most favourite bands of all time.

Anyway, I really battled to shoot photo’s because I was more in awe and amazed at what was going on but I did manage to get in a few good shots that I am really happy with. These are just a few of them.

I shot the band during the same tour but up in Birmingham, we had real crap lighting, we didnt have the RISE banner up either. You got some killer shots though. I just wish the lighting in Birmingham was as good as yours!
