Favourites of 2012

I don’t often do stuff like this, although I think about it quite a lot, so I thought I’d make a plan before the year officially ends.

There have been SO many great album releases for me this year and it’s hard to list my favourites but without thinking about it for too long I’m going to just list the first 10 that pop into mind.

They are (in no particular order) :

1) Anberlin – Vital
2) Two Door Cinema Club – Beacon
3) Young Guns – Bones
4) Die Antwoord – Ten$Ion
5) Enter Shikari – A Flash Flood Of Colour
6) Metric – Synthetica
7) Don Broco – Priorities
8) Canterbury – Heavy In The Day
9) The Spindle Sect – Bubonictronic
10) Hot Water Music – Exister

Let’s hope that next year will be as good a year for music … I have a feeling it will be having already heard 3 great albums coming out soon.

What were your favourites? Please let me know so I can check them
out.

Enter Shikari and Young Guns … Awesome

Tonight I photographed two great bands, Enter Shikari and Young Guns, playing at Hammersmith Apollo and it was an amazing show. Definitely one of my favourites in all the years of shooting.

You can see the photo sets of Enter Shikari HERE and Young Guns HERE.

Both incredible bands … check them out if you haven’t.

Attempt at more blogging

I’ve been getting a lot of requests from people why I am not updating this as much so I thought I’d try put in a little more effort. It just gets hard with time being short but I figured if I could do this from my iPhone then that would help loads because I could do it while I’m traveling and in between scene changes on shoots.

This is my first test and the image below is one I shot of Enter Shikari playing Banquet Records. They’re amazing live. You can see more of the photo set on my music blog on London Band Photography.

Here is to more blogging. Hope you’re all well.

Give It A Name 2009 Day 1

Last night I photographed The Blackout (black and white photos) and Enter Shikari (colour photographs) live at Give It A Name which was at the Brixton Academy. It was the first night of two and a super night out. I am most excited about sunday though but these are a few of the photographs I shot already. If you want to see more, click here to see my Band Blog.

The lighting was quite hard to work with because the stage is mostly back-lit and I don’t really enjoy shooting in that condition but I made do with what was available and feel there are some good shots.
