New Volume – Karma

“Karma” is the latest music video I directed for the New Volume team, and it was another chance to create something simple, cinematic and driven by the song itself.

The concept centred around a classic band performance set against the open landscape, intercut with a striking fire performance by Melody, who plays Karma. It tied perfectly into one of my favourite lyrics from the track:

“She’s coming at you like a hurricane, you bring the fire, she’s gonna bring the rain.”

Rather than overcomplicate the visuals, we let the performance and the symbolism do the talking. The combination of the band’s energy, the rural setting and the fire performance created exactly the atmosphere we were hoping for.

We were lucky enough to film everything at Purple Heart Studios, which gave us the perfect backdrop to bring the concept to life.
