Young Guns

I will never forget the first time I worked with Young Guns at Islington Academy in 2009 where we photographed portraits for their up-coming press. The guys were just starting to gain traction on the music scene, and it felt like every time I worked with them after this, they had stepped it up another level.

Going forward, I was commissioned to join them on several tours around the UK to photograph and film their live shows as well as signings and general tour life. I also joined the guys for a couple of weeks at Real World Studios while they recorded Ones and Zeros (through Virgin EMI) and then joined them again for several more projects surrounding the release of their record (documenting behind-the-scenes on music video sets, album release on a private London bus, touring the UK and playing the main stage at Reading and Leeds festival).

The guys then released Echoes and commissioned me to shoot the album press images as well as assist them with creative direction on shooting the album artwork. We have worked together so many times that I have lost count, but it’s always been fun, intimate and creatively rewarding.

There will be more soon, and I’ll keep adding as the years progress.
