Dreamkid – Take Me On Tonight

I’ve been working with Dreamkid quite a bit recently, and he’s just released the music video for his latest track, Take Me On Tonight.

This was one of two videos we shot together over a weekend in Los Angeles, both filmed in a fast-moving, run-and-gun style that allowed us to stay flexible and make the most of our locations.

This one felt particularly special as it featured the brilliant Mason Musso of Metro Station and Social Order fame. We spent the day shooting on, under and around the iconic Santa Monica Pier, navigating the crowds and summer heat while trying our best to make one of LA’s busiest locations feel like our own private set.

Dreamkid’s music has a strong 80s influence, and the visuals we create together always try to embrace that nostalgic aesthetic without feeling like a pastiche. Neon, movement, energy and atmosphere all play a part in shaping the world around the songs.

The video was directed and filmed by myself, with editing by Ryan Morris, and I’m really happy with how it came together.
