New Volume – Therapy

As part of the content I’ve been creating with New Volume, this was one of my favourite music videos to direct and shoot.

For their track “Therapy”, we wanted to challenge ourselves by creating the entire video as a single take. The concept sounds simple, but it demanded a huge amount of planning, rehearsals and precise timing to pull off.

The idea follows Tyron as he makes his way through the building before revealing the rest of the band in a hidden performance space, where the song comes to life.

Before filming, we completed two rehearsal runs to perfect the choreography and timing. On the day, we managed two complete takes (this version and another that was wider and moodier) but this one captured the energy we were looking for.

It’s a good reminder that sometimes the simplest ideas require the most preparation, and often produce the strongest results.
